Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 300 grams plain flour
  • 50 grams milk powder
  • 180 milliliters milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 40 grams butter
  • 7 grams instant yeast

Method

  • Step 1

    Leave the butter at room temperature until it softens.

  • Step 2

    Mix all the ingredients together besides the butter and knead for 10 mins. Add the softened butter into the dough and keep kneading until the dough is not sticky. Cover the dough with a clean film and let the dough rest for an hour until it has risen to double the size.

  • Step 3

    Cut the dough into equal portions and shape it into doughnuts. Cover the dough again and let it rest for 10-15 mins.

  • Step 4

    Deep fry the dough at 170F degrees for 1.5 mins on each side. Remove from oil and coat doughnuts in sugar while still hot.
