Homemade Annie's Trail Mix

(2)
""How many times a day do you hear the words, “Mom I’m HUNGRY!” I like to keep snacks that they like on hand (some of our faves are from #paidad @annieshomegrown @thefeedfeed), so that they can help themselves. To break up our snack routine, I headed to @NaturalGrocers and got everything to mix up custom 🐇 “bunny” snack mixes. My kids loved picking everything that went into their snack mix, tasting each ingredient and then choosing if they wanted it in their mix. I loved getting them to try some new foods (one of them tried dried papaya)! Annie’s makes some really great gluten-free snacks, my kids and I love their Gluten-Free Bunny Tails Crackers, Their Gluten Free Chocolate and Vanilla Bunnies, and of course their Bunny Fruit Snacks (which we used in our snack mix). And have you tried Annie’s gluten-free mac and cheese? It was one of the first ones I ever tried! To make your on “Bunny” Snack Mix you’ll need 🐇Bunny Fruit Snacks (or else it is just snack mix, and that isn’t as fun) 🐇Popped Popcorn 🐇Dried Fruit (I used fruit-juice sweetened blueberries, but we also tried papaya and cherries) 🐇Nuts and Seeds (I used Pumpkin Seeds, but you can also use sunflower seeds. I skipped the nuts to keep it nut-free, but you can use almonds, pecans, pistachios, or any nut you choose): 🐇Gluten-Free Pretzels or Crackers (I used GF pretzels, but only because my kids ate all of our Annie's Cheddar Bunny Tails before we made our snack mix Add however much of each bunny mix ingredient you want into a bowl or a bag, and mix it up. You can make a big batch and bag it so it is easy to grab and pack for lunch or take on a walk around the neighborhood, or you can make just enough to eat right now! I used one cup of popped popcorn, half a cup of pretzels, half a cup of pumpkin seeds, a quarter cup of dried blueberries, and two bags of Annie’s Bunny Snacks. I love the great prices at Natural Grocers, I was able to get all of our favorite dried fruits and seeds, and a few new things for the kids to try, all without breaking my budget.
