It's always a good time to have a Mint Julep, especially when it has fresh watermelon. Watermelon and mint are muddled, add in simple syrup, bourbon, and crushed ice, and you have yourself a sweet, smoky, delicious cocktail.

ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • 3 cubes of fresh watermelon
  • 6 mint leaves
  • 1/2 ounce simple syrup
  • watermelon spear, for garnish
  • mint sprigs, for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

    Muddle watermelon and simple syrup until juicy, and mint leaves. Add bourbon and loads of crushed ice.
