Pineapple Strawberry Rum Cocktail

(3)
"I’ve been realizing more and more lately my appreciation for rum. Might be the isolation, but every time I take a sip of a refreshing rum drink, I feel like I’m on vacation. Today I am listening to Calypso music in the Caribbean - I’ll be back in Toronto once this drink is done to continue my social distancing. . Here’s a strawberry daiquiri riff inspired by a drink @all.equal.parts posted that found its way into my “Saved” folder. It’s got some stellar flavours to it that I’m sure will turn your living room into a sandy beach just as it has mine! . If you want to design the strawberry garnish into a rose like I have, follow these instructions: Stick the greens area of the strawberry on the end of a fork, start from about the middle of the strawberry and cut 3 slits almost to the base of the strawberry using a paring knife. Using the paring knife, push out the slits to form the flower petals. add a second layer by making 3 more slits in between the first layer of slits. Do the same once more for a third layer of petals."
