This festive cranberry apple pear sangria gets winter flavors from cinnamon and star anise for the perfect holiday cocktail.


  • 4 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cans sliced pears
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 star anise pods
  • 2 cups red wine
  • 1/ 2 cup bourbon
  • 2 oranges, sliced
  • 1 pomegranate, seeds reserved
  • 1 cup cranberries


  • Step 1

    In a large pitcher, combine red wine, apple juice, cranberry juice, pear halves and juice, and bourbon.

  • Step 2

    Add the orange slices, cranberries and whole spices. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.

  • Step 3

    Garnish with pomegranate seeds.
