Dinner Fennel is used in this recipe and for great reasons! Fennel is actually from the carrot family and is an herb AND a spice. The root, stalks and leaves are all edible and are considered the herb of the plant, while the dried seed is the spice. Fennel has a wonderful yet subtle licorice flavor and adds great texture to either raw or cooked dishes. I will be making this recipe soon!
