This recipe is inspired by a video from @seriousfoodfetish we saw on Instagram. The center of a banana is scooped out in order to fill it with hazelnut spread & fresh berries. Use sliced puff pastry to wrap the banana before baking. Once cool, top with powdered sugar, berries, and more hazelnut spread!

ingredients

  • 1 banana,
  • 1 tablespoon chocolate hazelnut spread
  • Fresh berries
  • Puff pastry, sliced into strips
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Powdered sugar, optional, for topping

Method

  • Step 1

    Scoop out the center of the banana.

  • Step 2

    Fill the banana with chocolate hazelnut spread, and top with berries (if using).

  • Step 3

    Wrap the banana with the sliced puff pastry and brush with egg wash.

  • Step 4

    Bake at 400F for 20-25 minutes.

  • Step 5

    Let cool, then top with powdered sugar, more hazelnut spread, and additional berries.
