Cottage cheese can definitely be very polarizing; you either love it or hate it! In recent years, social media videos showing different ways to use cottage cheese have been incredibly popular. Cottage cheese is a high protein product that I personally enjoy eating as is, but also appreciate the creative twists on how to enjoy it! The newest viral cottage cheese trend involves blending it with fruit and other mix ins, then freezing it to become a high protein “nice cream.”

ingredients

  • 2 cups full fat cottage cheese
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup sweetened coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup graham crackers, crushed

Method

  • Step 1

    In a blender, add in the cottage cheese, pineapple chunks, banana, and honey. Blend until evenly mixed and creamy.

  • Step 2

    Pour the mixture into a small baking dish. Mix in the sweetened coconut flakes and graham crackers.

  • Step 3

    Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for about 4 hours.

  • Step 4

    Serve and enjoy! Store in the freezer if you want to save more for later.
