ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 tablespoon coarse sugar, divided
  • fresh berries, for garnish
  • fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Method

  • Step 1

Prep the grapefruit - cut it in half, and then slice the fruit into segments. To help stabilize the fruit, cut a little bit of the skin off the bottom.

  • Step 2

Sprinkle the coarse sugar on both halves of grapefruit. Using a kitchen torch, melt the sugar. You want the sugar to turn deep golden brown and form a crust on top of the fruit.

  • Step 3

Garnish with fresh berries and mint leaves. Enjoy!
