  • 1 cup Besan (chickpea flour)
  • 3/4 cup Ghee
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water


  • Step 1

    Roast besan for 3-5 mins stirring continuously in a heavy bottomed pan. Transfer into a bowl

  • Step 2

    Add 1/2 cup ghee to the above mixture and mix

  • Step 3

    In the same pan bring the sugar and water to a boil to one string consistency

  • Step 4

    Add besan ghee mixture to the pan and stir till no lumps

  • Step 5

    Add 2 tbsps ghee to the mixture and keep stirring, repeat it every 2 mins

  • Step 6

    After 12-14 mins the mixture will not stick to the pan anymore

  • Step 7

    Transfer mixture to an oiled pan with parchment paper

  • Step 8

    Let it set for 30 mins

  • Step 9

    Turn it out and cut it!
