"Lion's head #meatballs for a change ? No Lions are involved in the making other than the resemblance of their shapes to lions' heads and usually oversized. Do they really look like ones ? I guess that is subjective. Some shape these Shanghai-style meatballs round, some rather oval, mine are more like thick patties. The meatballs are made with ground/minced pork with some fatty part for tenderness, seared and then simmered in broth. My mom serves them in noodle soup with bokchoy or napa cabbage. I like them with rice too and thickened the sauce a little bit. Rice mould is from a friend who lives in Japan @sakurajyosei ?❤
