Shrimp Marinade

ingredients

  • 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup

Tacos

ingredients

  • 8 small flour totillas, grilled
  • 1 cup shredded red cabbage
  • 1 cup shredded Napa cabbage
  • 3 small cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo, for serving
  • Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
  • Black and white sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving

To marinate the shrimp:

Method

  • Step 1

    In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and maple syrup.

  • Step 2

    Add the peeled and deveined shrimp to the marinade, making sure they are well-coated.

  • Step 3

    Let the shrimp marinate for at least 15 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Season with salt and pepper and set aside in the refrigerator.

To make the tacos:

  • Step 1

    Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Step 2

    Add the tortillas and grill each side for 1-2 minutes until they are marked and set aside.

  • Step 3

    Add the marinated shrimp to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side or until they turn pink and opaque.

  • Step 4

    Remove from heat and set aside.

  • Step 5

    Place a portion of shredded cabbage, cucumber and a few cooked shrimps to each tacos.

  • Step 6

    Add a generous drizzle of Lee Kum Kee Sriracha Mayo.

  • Step 7

    Garnish with green onions, fresh cilantro leaves, sesame seeds and lime.
