ingredients

  • 1 pound raw Shrimp
  • 4 teaspoon Cajun Seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 3 tablespoons Worcester Sauce
  • 1 Lemon
  • 4 tablespoons Butter (cubed, cold)
  • Cayenne Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 splash of Sherry (optional)
  • 2 Green Onions
  • 1 loaf French Bread (for Dipping)

Method

  • Step 1

    Season shrimp with half the seasoning mix, making sure all shrimp are well covered. Marinate for 10 minutes in the refrigerator

  • Step 2

    Cut lemon in half. Squeeze out the juice of one half for the recipe, and cut the remainder into thin rounds.

  • Step 3

    In a large skillet combine oil, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, sliced lemon, cayenne pepper, Creole seasoning, and garlic.

  • Step 4

    Cook over moderately high heat for one minute.

  • Step 5

    Add sherry (if used) and shrimp, and cook until shrimp turn pink, about 1-2 minute on each side.

  • Step 6

    Reduce heat to moderate and stir in butter, a few cubes at a time, stirring constantly and adding more only when butter is melted.

  • Step 7

    Remove skillet from heat.

  • Step 8

    Plate the shrimp with sauce. Garnish with green onions.

  • Step 9

    Serve with French bread for dipping.
