Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 250 gram vegan margarine
  • 4 tablespoons apple sauce
  • vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

For rolling

ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons brown or cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder

Method

  • Step 1

    Mix the margarine with the sugar and apple sauce then add all the dry ingredients. Do not overwork the dough, a quick mixing with a spoon is perfect.

  • Step 2

    Pop it into the fridge for 30 minutes to rest.

  • Step 3

    Preheat the oven for 200 C degree. Prepare your baking tray with grease paper.

  • Step 4

    Form a small ball from the dough and roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture. I usually use an ice cream scooper for the uniform shapes.

  • Step 5

    Bake for 8-10 minutes.
