ingredients
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1 teaspoon balink powder
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 100 milliliter oil
- 1 cup oat milk
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- red food colouring
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven for 190 C degree.
Step 2
Sift all dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl. Mix in the plant milk with the oil, vinegar and red food colouring. I prefer mixing the batter with a spoon, rather than an electric mixer.
Step 3
Pour the mixture to two round cake tins (6 inches). Pop them to the oven for 25-30 minutes. Cool entirely before cover with frosting.
Vanilla frosting
ingredients
- 1 stick (or vegan butter, if desired) margarine
- 200 milliliter agave syrup
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- a pinch of salt
Step 1
For the filling, whip the margarine until it’s fluffy. Then gradually add the sugar
Step 2
Once your cake base cooled down, slice off a small amount to make it flat. You can use this as decoration.
Step 3
Evenly spread the frosting, sprinkle with the crumbs of the cake.
