"Folks. It's Thursday. As in almost Friday. As in Cocktail Of The Day (because it's always cocktail hour somewhere in the world). And while the cherry blossoms are in bloom and the crocuses are peaking through the soil, the nights are still chilly. And do I still happily sip on a mulled wine.
1 bottle of cheap red wine
2 tbsp mulling spices
1/2 cup of honey
1/4 cup brandy
Wrap your mulling spices up in cheese cloth. Toss into a pot with your bottle of wine and brandy. Bring to a low simmer and add in your honey. Let simmer over low heat for 30 minutes, stirring regularly. Best shared with your favourite peeps over a solid helping of cheese and charcuterie."
