"These bahn mi meatballs are super delicious AND versatile. I used pork, but this would also be great with chicken or turkey. You could also make a large batch and freeze them for later!"

ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon minced lemongrass
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1/2 diced jalapeno
  • 1/2 diced Vidalia Onion
  • 2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon mirin
  • 1/4 juice of one lime
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cracked black pepper

Method

  • Step 1

    In a mixing bowl, mix all ingredients above and form into meatball shape

  • Step 2

    Sear in oil in hot pan, until outsides are golden and crisp. Should take 2-3 minutes

  • Step 3

    Place on sheet tray in oven at 375 until cooked through - it should be another 12 minutes

  • Step 4

    Remove from oven and ready to serve
