Red Velvet Waffles with Cream Cheese Glaze

ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup of self raising flour
- 1 tbsp of chocolate powder
- 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
- 1/4 cup of sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 1/2 tsp of grated nutmeg
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp of Beetroot powder or food colouring
- 1/2 cup of oat Goodness m*lk/almond or buttermilk
- A handful of strawberries
- 4 oz Cream cheese
- 4 tbsp softened butter
- 1/2 of Icing sugar
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup of milk
Method
Step 1
Prepare the waffles in a bowl, combine all dry ingredients. Add oat milk and eggs. Mix with a whisk until well combined. Add vanilla, nutmeg and beetroot powder.
Step 2
To make the waffles, spray butter/oil into waffle maker and ladle batter into waffle iron and allow to cook
Step 3
Once the waffle is done, start on your cream cheese glaze. In a separate bowl, mix cream cheese, butter until smooth. Beat in the icing sugar, add vanilla and milk. Pour onto waffles and decorate with strawberries. (I used a cookie cutter to cut my strawberries into hearts)
