ingredients
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 sweet potatoes, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1/2 tablespoon cumin
- 1/2 tablespoon paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 cans (10 oz) Tomato Love Seasoned Diced + Crushed Tomatoes Chili Starter
- 1 (15 oz) can chili beans
- 1 (15 oz can) black beans, drained,rinsed
- 1 1/2 cup water
- Salt, to taste.
- Black Pepper, to taste.
Method
Step 1
Warm avocado oil in a large pot over medium heat and sautƩ onion for 5 minutes, until translucent. Add sweet potato and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 2
Season with chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour in chili starter, beans, and water. Stir to combine then bring to a simmer. Let cook, uncovered, for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 3
Once thickened to desired consistency, taste and adjust seasonings, if needed. Serve warm.
