- 1 lb filet mignon
- 2 sprigs of rosemary
- 2 sprigs of thyme
- 4 galic cloves, smashed
- 3 tablespoons EPIC Beef Tallow
- 1/ 2 tablespoon kosher salt
- 1/ 4 tablespoon black pepper
Pat the steak dry and season all sides of the steak with salt and pepper.
Place a cast iron skillet over high medium/high heat.
Allow the pan to heat up for a couple of minutes and add the beef tallow to the pan. Place the steak in the pan. Cook for approx 4 minutes or until the steak has a nice crust.
Flip the steak, turn the heat to medium and add the rosemary, thyme and garlic.
Move the herbs and garlic around some and spoon some of the beef tallow over the steak to really get those flavors on the steak. Cook to your likeness. Remove the steak, let rest for 10 minutes.
Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans.
Spoon some of the tallow onto the steak and enjoy!
