ingredients

  • New York Strip Steaks
  • 1 tablespoons duck fat
  • 1/4 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoons porcini powder
  • Fresh Rosemary Sprig and Thyme Sprigs

Method

  • Step 1

    In a skillet over medium heat add the duck fat. Heat up the skillet and oil.

  • Step 2

    Season the steaks with the salt, pepper and porcini powder.

  • Step 3

    Add the steaks to the skillet, cook each side for approximately 3-5 minutes. Before you flip the steak, add the rosemary and thyme to the skillet to season the oil.

  • Step 4

    Flip and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes depending on your steak likeness.

  • Step 5

    Allow to rest for 10 minutes before serving.

  • Step 6

    Best served with duck fat roasted yukon gold potatoes and roasted green beans.
