"Hi guys, how are we all doing today on this fine Tuesday? I ate a smoothie bowl, went to the gym (they have child care?) and had a "finkaffe" (Swedish for coffee bought in a cafe, preferably in a take away cup and drank while walking or sitting in the sun?) so I am all content today. If you've followed me for some time you've probably noticed that I've been avoiding SPIRULINA like it was a disease. To be honest I can't stand the taste of this blue green algae. But because I love the color it can bring to food (and the supposed health benefits) I decided to give it another go and I finally found a formula that works for me! Using just 1/2 tsp with a cup of liquid and add fruits gives me the benefits without the drawback of choking when I drink it - it actually tastes good! Who's with me? Also if you want a great tutorial on swirling you should check out Sine's @foodbites video in her feed - it's brilliant! -----------------------------
For this smoothie I blended * 1/2 cup almond milk * 1/2 cup yoghurt (plant based if vegan) * 1 frozen banana
* 1 handful frozen mango * 1 tbsp oats
* 1 tbsp chia seeds * 1/2 tsp spirulina
For the swirl just mix a bit of blueberry powder with yoghurt.
Serve with berries and some fresh mint! "
