Mornings are stressful enough - add in trying to get a healthy yet delicious meal before you're getting out the door? Impossible! Not for long with these Make Ahead Smoothies. We like adding granola to our smoothies for added flavor, nutrients, and texture and wrote about why we love the other ingredients in this smoothie ratio so much.

When you have a few extra minutes, prep the smoothies in glass jars and toss them in the freezer. All that's left do it in the morning is to blend everything up with the liquid of your choice (coconut water, oat milk, whatever you like!) and, congrats! You are now owning your mornings.

Smoothie ratio


  • 1/2 cup frozen fruit
  • 1/2 cup baby spinach, or kale, packed
  • 1/4 cup granola of choice
  • 1/4 Cascadian Farm Fruit & Nut Granola
  • 1 tablespoon nut butter of choice
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds (optional)
  • Ice, for blending

For blending:


  • 1/2 cup almond or coconut milk


  • Step 1

    Layer desired ingredients into a16 ounce freezer-safe glass jar. When ready to serve, add milk or liquid of choice to the jar. Shake to loosen all the ingredients. Dump the contents into a high-speed blender with a handful of ice and process until smooth.

  • Step 2

    Pour prepared smoothie into the same jar and serve.
