How to Make Manhattan Style Slushies
(2)

A Note From feedfeed

It's hard to improve upon on a classic, but since we’re from Brooklyn, we decided to riff a little on the Manhattan Cocktail to make it more summer friendly. The result? Frozen Manhattan Slushies!  We blended whole Luxardo Cherries with fresh orange juice, Lot 40 Canadian Rye Whiskey, Sweet Vermouth, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, and bitters, and froze the concoction in ice cube trays overnight for the perfectly ice-cold slushie-like texture. These are perfect for summer entertaining. Make a big batch the night before, and pop a few cubes in a glass when guests arrive. Don't forget the (Luxardo) cherries on top!

  • Step 1

The night before you plan to serve the slushies, add orange juice, Luxardo cherries, whiskey, vermouth, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, bitters and 1 cup of ice to a high-speed blender. Process until smooth, then pour into ice cube trays. Cover the trays with plastic wrap and set it in the freezer for at least 6 hours, but preferably overnight.

  • Step 2

Divide among 6 glasses and garnish with additional Luxardo Maraschino Cherries and orange wedges before serving. Is desired, serve topped with crushed ice for an even more refreshing cocktail.
