ingredients

  • 3 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cups water, at 110 degrees

Method

  • Step 1

    Mix the yeast, oil, salt, sugar, and water in a large mixing bowl.

  • Step 2

    In three parts, add the flour.

  • Step 3

    Knead to combine and let rest for 15 minutes.

  • Step 4

    Knead the dough again, then form the dough into rolls and brush with egg.

  • Step 5

    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees

  • Step 6

    Set rolls on a baking sheet, spaced out or nestled into a parchment-lined 9 x 13" baking dish. Let rise for 15 more minutes.

  • Step 7

    Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until golden.
