ingredients

  • 2 whole apples
  • 1 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • Yogurt, optional, for serving
  • Granola, gluten free granola (optional) for serving

Method

  • Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Cut apples in half. Sandwich apple in between two chopsticks. This will prevent you from cutting through the apple. Make thin slices using a knife across the width of the apple, taking care not to cut through the apple.

  • Step 2

Whisk together coconut oil, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt until combined. Evenly coat apples with mixture and place halves in a 9x9 baking dish skin side up. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the apples are soft. Top with yogurt and granola. EAT.
