"This will be the best homemade hazelnut chocolate spread that you’ll ever taste. As a young kid, I was a big fan of Nutella and still am to a certain extent so I wanted to make a spread that’s much healthier and still super tasty. I’ve made this using only 3 ingredients. It also happens to be vegan-friendly and sugar-free! Scroll down for the recipe."

- 2 1/2 ounces 100% dark chocolate, chopped

Method
Step 1
Add the toasted hazelnuts in a food processor and blend on high speed until you get a nice smooth texture, 1-2 minutes. Stop the processor periodically to scrape down the sides.
Step 2
Prepare a double boiler by bringing a 2 inches of water to a simmer in a small pot. Place a heat proof bowl over the pot and melt the chocolate.
Step 3
Add the melted chocolate to the food processor and pulse 3-4 times. Lastly, add the maple syrup and blend until a smooth texture forms.
Step 4
Transfer to a jar. Enjoy with a slice of bread, biscuit or straight from the jar!
