- 101/2 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, optional
Pre-heat the oven to 390°F.
Melt the butter with the chocolate in the microwave or a double boiler.
Whisk the eggs with sugar (and vanilla extract, if used) until the it turns light in color. Pour the chocolate butter mixture in the eggs and sugar. Whisk. Add the flour and the salt. Mix with a spatula.
Butter a 9x9 inch pan and flour the bottom lightly. Pour the brownie batter in and bake for 20 minutes. It will be fudgey, leave 5 minutes more if you prefer more cooked.
