ingredients

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped tomato
  • 5 ounce light chunky tuna canned
  • 1 peeled and chopped potato
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 4 sprigs cilantro
  • 10 slices whole grain bread

Method

  • Step 1

    Heat the olive oil in a pan, add onions and sauté for a minute. Then, add the tomato and sauté for 2 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Add the drained tuna chunks.

  • Step 3

    Mix in the spices, salt, potato, cilantro, and half a cup of water.

  • Step 4

    Cook on medium heat by covering the pan with a lid until the water has evaporated.

  • Step 5

    Spread the filling on a toasted and buttered slice of bread and enjoy!
