ingredients
- 1 store-bought pizza dough
- 1 (15 ounce ) can Tuttorosso Classic Crushed Tomatoes with basil
- 12 ounces sweet Italian sausage, crumbled
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 8 ounces shredded cheese of choice
- Dried oregano, to taste
- Garlic powder, to taste
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven using the directions on the pizza dough package.
Step 2
Cook the sausage and set it aside.
Step 3
Roll out the pizza dough into your desired shape and add it to a pizza stone or a parchment paper-lined sheet pan.
Step 4
Slowly add the Tuttorosso Classic Crushed Tomatoes with basil on top of your dough. Use enough sauce to create an even layer.
Step 5
Add oregano and garlic powder on top of the crushed tomatoes.
Step 6
Add one layer of cheese, followed by a layer of crumbled sausage and diced green peppers.
Step 7
Bake until golden brown on top and the dough has a nice golden color on the bottom, about 20 minutes.
