ingredients
- 1 ball Wholly Wholesome Organic pie & pastry dough
- flour, for dusting
- 6 ounces softened goat cheese (chèvre)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 cup walnuts
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- jam, to finish
Method
Step 1
•thaw your dough according to package instructions •place on parchment lined baking sheet or cutting board sprinkled with flour, & roll out to about 1/4” •use a cookie cutter or mason jar lid to cut rounds from dough •place on baking sheet or in a silicone muffin tray & bake @ 400° until golden brown (about 20-25 minutes)
Step 2
•while the crusts are baking add goat cheese to a mixing bowl with honey & use a hand mixer to whip on medium-high for about 5 minutes, scraping bowl as needed. •transfer to piping bag & once crusts are slightly cooled, pipe ontop.
Step 3
•finish with a dollop of jam & toasted walnuts (For the walnuts, place on a parchment lined baking sheet sprinkled with brown sugar & bake until sugar has melted & walnuts become fragrant. 5-7 minutes. Watch close so they don’t burn!)
