ingredients

  • 175 grams unsalted butter
  • 200 grams dark chocolate bar
  • 100 grams plain flour
  • 50 grams cocoa powder
  • 100 grams white chocolate bar
  • 4 medium eggs
  • 200 grams sugar

Method

  • Step 1

Break the dark chocolate bar and melt it.

  • Step 2

Pre-heat the oven to 200C/ 180C fan. Line the inside of a 8” or 20cm shallow round cake tin with kitchen foil/ baking parchment. You can alternatively use a shallow 20cm square tin.

  • Step 3

Melt the butter and combine well with the dark chocolate, sugar, cocoa powder, plain flour and then eggs.

  • Step 4

Chop the white chocolate bar and add it to the brownie mix. (You can use half white and half milk chocolate if you like the same.)

  • Step 5

Pour the mixture to the prepared tin. Bake for 45-50 minutes. ( Adjust the time accordingly depending on tin size.)

  • Step 6

Turn off the oven and leave them in until the oven cools ( approx 20 minutes). Then take it out of the oven and turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Step 7

Make sure you slice the brownie only after it's completely cool down. I have found that overnight cooling works better and it tastes better the next day. Enjoy!
