I first discovered Tillamook cheese when I moved to Pacific Northwest in 1991, and I have been a huge fan ever since. I thought it would be fun to celebrate my discovery of Tillamook by creating an appetizer inspired by the flavors of the Pacific Northwest. These cheese balls are crunchy from the coating of hazelnuts, sweet from the pears and honey, and salty and tangy from the cheese. They are the perfect bite! These cheese balls are so simple to make, as it’s basically all done in one bowl. Serve them with red toothpicks for a holiday feel and pop them in your mouth, or place them on a tray with crackers.
