"Applesauce cake with cream cheese and honey frosting for our dessert. Fall always gets me in the mood for baking. I love Apple based desserts and this one was fantastic. Applesauce, ginger, and cinnamon provide the flavor base for the cake which is topped with a cream cheese and honey frosting. The sweetness of the frosting is cut with a bit of tangy sour cream. My only change to this recipe from Now & Again by @turshen was to top my frosting with toasted walnuts. I loved the but if texture contrast the nuts provided.
