Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 sliced apple
  • 1/2 cups quick oats
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • pinch cardamom
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried apples
  • pinch salt
  • 1 cups unsweetened almond milk

Method

  • Step 1

    Take thinly sliced apples and add to a small sauce pan with water. Allow to cook and soften for 3 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Add maple syrup and stir to fully combine and allow all liquid to cook off before setting aside.

  • Step 3

    Add remaining ingredients to a different sauce pan and bring to a low medium heat to simmer.

  • Step 4

    With a spoon or spatula, stir oats as it cooks, about 3 minutes.

  • Step 5

    Remove from stove top and top oatmeal as desired.
