Galette aux Pommes – Delicious Apple Tarte with Streusel

ingredients
- 1 Short Crust Pastry
- 4 big Apples
- 25 g melted Butter
- 1/2 juice Lemon
- 50 g Sugar
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 70 g Sugar
- 100 g ground Almond
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 70 g melted Butter
- some Salted Caramel Timut Pepper
Method
Step 1
For the Galette put the dough into a cake dish of approx. 20 cm and prick it with a fork.
Step 2
Mix the 25 g melted butter with the lemon juice, 50 g sugar, and 1 tsp cinnamon. Peel the apples and cut them into thin slices. Add them immediately into the liquid and mix well. I let them marinate for 10 minutes.
Step 3
Put the apples onto the dough.
Step 4
Mix the ingredients for the Streusel (70 g sugar, 100 g almond, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, 70 g melted butter) together with a fork and chop them up slightly. Pour them over the apples.
Step 5
Pull the sides of the dough over the cake and bake in the oven at 200 C for 30-35 minutes.
Step 6
You can serve the Galette warm or cold. But before serving sprinkle generously with the salted caramel Timut pepper. It is absolutely delicious!
