Fig and Red Wine Jam

  • 1 kilogram Figs
  • 300 g Preserving Sugar
  • 1 bag Gelfix 2:1
  • 100 milliliter Red Wine
  • 1 juice Lemon


  • Step 1

    Cut the figs into pieces, mix with the sugar and gelfix and put into a deep pot. Add the lemon juice and heat up.

  • Step 2

    When it starts to boil add the red wine. Let boil for 5 minutes, then blend into a puree.

  • Step 3

    Fill into clean jars. Close immediately! Fits onto bread for breakfast or served with a cheese board.
