Bombay Potatoes

"Even though this potato dish is from India it fits perfectly to any dish from anywhere in the world. They are tasty, well seasoned, and I believe, they fit perfect to fish!"

  • 800 g small Potatoes
  • 3 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Chili Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 juice Lemon
  • some Salt
  • chopped Parsley


  • Step 1

    Brush the potatoes carefully, then cut them into cubes.

  • Step 2

    Heat the oil in a flat pan and fry the cumin seeds. As soon as they crackle add the potatoes. Cook covered approx. 10-12 minutes, turning them from time to time.

  • Step 3

    Now add the lemon juice, chili powder and turmeric, mix well. Let cook for another few minutes until the juice has reduced. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley and serve.
