Pumpkin Spice Bacon Candy

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 4 1/4 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 1 3/4 teaspoons nutmeg
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup (keto version if necessary)


  • Step 1

    Heat the oven to 350°. Line 2 baking sheets with aluminum foil and insert cooking racks on top.

  • Step 2

    In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and cloves.

  • Step 3

    Slice the bacon crosswise and lay on the cooking racks.

  • Step 4

    Brush the maple syrup thickly and evenly over the bacon.

  • Step 5

    Sprinkle the spice mixture over the bacon. Don't try to spread it out with your fingers - it'll just stick to your fingers and rub off the bacon.

  • Step 6

    Slide the baking sheets into the oven and bake for 30 minutes, swapping and rotating the pans halfway through. The bacon should look firm and dark but not burnt. Let rest on the racks until they've cooled down and firmed up a bit more. Enjoy!
