Recipe Card

Pancakes:

ingredients

  • 1 cup self-rising flour (or gluten-free flour)
  • 1 cup plant based milk
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons agave (or any sweetener)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder

Chocolate sauce:

ingredients

  • Half a bar of good dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup plant based milk
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon agave (or any sweetener)

To make the pancakes:

Method

  • Step 1

    Place dry ingredients into a mixing bowl.

  • Step 2

    Add wet ingredients to dry, and whisk to combine.

  • Step 3

    Set aside ingredients to rest for half an hour.

  • Step 4

    Add tablespoon of oil (I recommend rapeseed or of choice).

  • Step 5

    Place batter into the pan and cook each side for 5-10 minutes.

To make the chocolate sauce:

  • Step 1

    Heat milk in a saucepan for 10 minutes. Break chocolate into a bowl. Add milk with a pinch of sea salt and sweetener to chocolate. Whisk till smooth.

  • Step 2

    Once the pancakes are cooked stack them on a plate, drizzle some chocolate sauce and add fruits of choice.
