ingredients
- 1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped white onion
- Handful fresh parsley
- Handful fresh cilantro
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chickpea/garam flour
- 1 tablespoon olive oil, for drizzling
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400F and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Step 2
Place all ingredients (excluding olive oil) into a blender. Blitz until smooth.
Step 3
Scoop mixture out and use your hands to form into patty shapes and place on baking sheet.
Step 4
Brush with each patty with oil.
Step 5
Bake for approximately 30 minutes until golden, flipping patties over half way and you’re ready to serve!
Step 6
Note: If your patties are not as golden as you would like, broil them for a few minutes.
