Mini Orange Poppyseed Loaves

  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 juice and zest blood orange
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons poppyseeds
  • Nutella®, for topping


  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 350º then grease a mini loaf pan.

  • Step 2

    In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until combined. Pour in the oil, milk, vanilla, fresh squeezed blood orange juice and zest. Whisk again to combine.

  • Step 3

    In a small bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and poppy seeds. Whisk into the wet ingredients until just combined. Do not over mix.

  • Step 4

    Divide the batter evenly among the mini loaf pan and bake for 25 minutes.

  • Step 5

    Place the loaves on a plate then drizzle with nutella on top. Let stand for 5 minutes prior to serving.
