Maca is filled with lots of vitamins, minerals and it has also positive effects on energy and mood Where I am it is very common to find this superfood in most grocery stores as this root is mainly grown high in the mountains of Peru! For the Smoothie:
ingredients
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
- 1 tablespoon gelatinized (better digested) or raw maca root powder
- 1/2 cup ice cubes
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- Stevia extract to taste
For the Chocolate Sauce:
ingredients
- 2 tablespoon melted coconut oil
- 2 tablespoon cacao powder
- 2 tablespoon agave nectar
Method
Step 1
Blend all ingredients together until smooth.
Step 2
Combine ingredients for the chocolate sauce in a small saucepan over medium low heat and stir until combined. Top smoothie with sauce, if desired.
