"Hello everyone!These are delicious chocolate-maca banana smoothie. Maca is filled with lots of vitamins, minerals and it has also positive effects on energy and mood Where I am it is very common to find this superfood in most grocery stores as this root is mainly grown high in the mountains of Peru! I have been adding maca root powder to everything! (Mainly smoothies and oatmeal) The effects I have got are amazing! Hope everyone is having a great day!"

For the Smoothie:

ingredients

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon gelatinized (better digested) or raw maca root powder
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • Stevia extract to taste

For the Chocolate Sauce:

ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon melted coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 2 tablespoon agave nectar

Method

  • Step 1

    Blend all ingredients together until smooth.

  • Step 2

    Combine ingredients for the chocolate sauce in a small saucepan over medium low heat and stir until combined. Top smoothie with sauce, if desired.
