  • 1 box (17.3 oz) frozen puff pastry sheets
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 3 tablespoons sugar, plus more for dusting
  • Nutella®, for spreading on top


  • Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.

  • Step 2

    Beat the egg with 1 teaspoon of water in a small bowl, set aside.

  • Step 3

    Beat the cream cheese with sugar with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until smooth.

  • Step 4

    On a lightly floured surface, unfold each sheet of puff pastry. Cut each puff pastry into nine squares. Transfer them to the baking sheets.

  • Step 5

    Top each square with 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture. Bring 2 opposite corners of pastry over filling. Seal it firmly and brush with the egg wash. Then dust generously with sugar.

    Bake for 12-15 minutes, rotating the baking sheet halfway through until pastries are deep golden in color.

  • Step 7

    Drizzle each pastry with Nutella on the top. Enjoy.
