ingredients

  • 2 boxes Annie's Shells & Real Aged Cheddar Mac & Cheese
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 unsalted butter
  • 10 strips of bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 pound chicken breast
  • 3 tablespoons ranch seasoning, dividied
  • 2 cups cooked broccoli
  • 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese

Method

  • Step 1

Cook both boxes of mac and cheese according to directions, cooking pasta al dente (about 8 minutes) and adding milk, butter, and cheese packet.

  • Step 2

While waiting to bring water for mac and cheese to a boil, in a skillet, cook bacon. While bacon is cooking, season chicken on all sides with 2 tablespoons of ranch seasoning (time saving tip: filet your chicken breast in half to decrease cook time and use your favorite packaged ranch seasoning).

  • Step 3

Once bacon is cooked, crumble and set aside. Reserve 2 tablespoons of bacon fat. In same skillet with reserved bacon fat, cook chicken over medium heat until lightly browned on both sides and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165 degrees F). Chop chicken into bite sized cubes.

  • Step 4

Combine cooked mac & cheese, chicken, bacon, and broccoli and add to broiler safe dish.

  • Step 5

Top with 1 tablespoon ranch seasoning and grated cheddar cheese.

  • Step 6

Broil for a few minutes until bubbly and melted.
