Apple, Cinnamon And Nutmeg Kouign Amann
Several months ago, I made chocolate Kouign Amann. They were (and still are) one of the best things I've ever made. They're a pastry laminated with butter and sugar, so they're similar to a croissant but crispier, sweeter, and taste like caramel. I recreated them, but instead of chocolate inside, I made a cinnamon and nutmeg filling and also added some fall spices to the dough itself. It's heaven.

I didn't think it could get much better than kouign amann -- croissant's more caramelized, sophisticated cousin -- until @meganleevoigt stuffed them full of apples and fall spices. Pure heaven!
