Tagliolini with Anchovy and Capers

For Anchovy sauce


  • 5 fillets anchovies
  • 4 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 2 pieces red chilis, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons capers
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon juiced lemon
  • Parmesan

To make Anchovy Caper Sauce


  • Step 1

    Heat olive oil in a large saucepan. Add garlic - fry for 1 min then add chilli and anchovy and continue to cook on slow heat for 5 min stirring from time to time. Once anchovy dissolve in the sauce add capers, butter and tiny bit of water mix well together. Remove from the heat

  • Step 2

    Bring a pot of heavily salted water to a boil. Cook fresh pasta for 1-1 1/2 minutes. Drain pasta, reserving the water you will need it for the sauce

  • Step 3

    Put pan with the anchovy sauce back on medium heat. Mix in with cooked pasta, adding bit of you pasta water. Now add lemon juice and parsley- mixing well together. Served straight away with Parmesan cheese

For the homemade pasta


  • 3 cups 00 flour, or all purpose flour
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 2 egg yolks

To make Pasta

  • Step 1

    Place flour on a clean work surface and make a well, add eggs and with a fork, whisk eggs, slowly incorporating flour. Knead until a smooth, elastic dough forms, about 10 minutes. Let rest for half an hour before rolling

  • Step 2

    Roll to your favourite thickness then use tagliolini cutter attachment to make you pasta
