ingredients

  • 2 cups green beans or 1 bunch of asparagus with ends broken off
  • 1 tablespoons oil
  • 1 chopped garlic clove
  • juice from 1/2 lemon
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Step 1

    Clean green beans or asparagus.

  • Step 2

    In a medium pan heat oil on low, and add chopped garlic.

  • Step 3

    Cook garlic until it is browned.

  • Step 4

    Add green beans or asparagus and lemon juice, then cover.

  • Step 5

    Let the mixture steam on low heat for about 5 -10 minutes.

  • Step 6

    Add salt and pepper to taste.
