Stuffed French Toast with Nutella®

  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 4 tablespoons Nutella®
  • Fresh fruit (such as bananas or strawberries), sliced for topping
  • Powdered Sugar, optional*


  • Step 1

    In a wide shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk and vanilla extract.

  • Step 2

    Lay slices of bread into the egg mixture, covering both sides thoroughly.

  • Step 3

    Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Lay bread slices in pan and cook for about 2 minutes on each side until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread.

  • Step 4

    Once all the pieces of bread are finished, spread 1 tablespoon of Nutella on four pieces of French toast. Top with sliced fruit.

  • Step 5

    Place the remaining pieces of French toast on top of each prepared half to make a sandwich. Cut in half diagonally and serve with more fruit. Dust with powder sugar if desired.
