Dark Chocolate and Maca Tart

Recipe Card

For the Crust


  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 pinch salt

For the Chocolate Filling


  • 1 (13.5 ounce) can coconut milk
  • 6 ounces dark chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons maca powder
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 3 tablespoons cacao powder
  • 1/2 cup dried strawberries


  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9-inch tart pan and set aside.

  • Step 2

    For the crust, add oats and almond meal into a food processor. Pulse until combined and add maple syrup and coconut oil. Process into a moist mixture. Firmly press dough into the tart. Bake for about 12 minutes.

  • Step 3

    For the chocolate mousse, heat coconut milk and maple syrup in a small saucepan over medium heat and stir. Turn heat to low and add the chocolate, maca and almond butter. Stir until chocolate has completely melted. Pour chocolate ganache into your crust.

  • Step 4

    Refrigerate for about 3 hours until it has set. Sprinkle with raw cacao and chopped dried strawberries. Enjoy!
